About Steve Fleckenstein
I’m a nonprofit generalist with experience in strategy, operations, marketing, communications, all things digital, HR and finance. My “how can I help?” mindset has led to a diverse array of experiences that I bring to my consulting practice.
I take a people-first approach to collaborative work management transformation, focusing on organization and process changes as drivers of technology use.
As a big believer in nonprofit capacity building, I feel it’s critical to go beyond strategy and planning work to provide hands-on implementation and operations support. I won’t just help figure out what to do and how to do it — I’ll roll up my sleeves and help make it happen!
I reject the “do more with less” mantra and instead seek to help teams reduce friction and frustration so they can do what they love in service of others who love what they do.
I’ve worked as a consultant or staff member with a variety of social sector and public sector organizations, including:
Social Sector
- American Red Cross
- American Society of Clinical Oncology
- Blue Meridian Partners
- Challenging Racism
- Civity
- Edna McConnell Clark Foundation
